I had a LinkedIn profile for years. A picture, my studies, a few connections — done. Or so I thought.After attending a LinkedIn session for today, I realised something important: my profile wasn’t working for me at all.

Today, Tuesday, December 2, my class and I visited Weber Shandwick Brussels, a leading global communications and reputation management firm. During this visit, we attended several inspiring sessions, including one by Erik Lenaers, EVP Integrated Media Strategy & Head of Growth, on crisis communication in a world where news spreads rapidly and even the smallest mistake can have major consequences.

On November 25, we were invited to the offices of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in Brussels, the world’s leading alliance of public broadcasters and media, and the organisers of the Eurovision Song Contest. Walking into the elegant Av. Des Arts 56 offices, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and coffee, setting the stage for a day full of insights into policy communication, international careers, and advocacy.

I can proudly say that I completed a triple challenge! I had the opportunity to work out and be active together with people with a disability, and it was truly an inspiring experience

Today, I had the opportunity to attend a TED Talk by Gitte Haenen, former Paralympian and inclusive sports coach at Triple Challenge. Without exaggerated drama or big statements, she shared her story in a calm and honest way. What struck me right away was her authenticity. This was not a polished success story, but a human and realistic account of falling, getting back up, and continuing despite setbacks.
