About me :)

Hey there!
I’m Estee Boon, 21 years old, and I live in the beautiful town of Lochristi. I study International Communication, but my true passion goes far beyond books. My heart lies in volunteering, especially supporting people with disabilities, and in continuously challenging myself both physically and mentally.

For a long time, I didn’t know who I was or where I truly belonged. Life felt directionless, and joy seemed just out of reach. By stepping out of my comfort zone, trying new things, making mistakes, and learning from them, I gradually discovered what energizes me, gives me purpose, and makes me genuinely happy. Along the way, I finally found myself.

Today, my life feels authentic and fulfilling, filled with passion, movement, and real connection. I’m not perfect, but I strive to make a difference every day and that gives my life meaning.

My message is simple: dare to explore, dare to feel, and dare to become who you are meant to be. Happiness isn’t a straight path, but every step brings you closer to your true self.

There are three key aspects that have brought me joy and shaped who I am today.

I would love to share them with you below :)

International Communication

I am a third-year student in International Communication, Public and Corporate Affairs at Thomas More University College in Mechelen. I started this program in February 2023 because I have always been a social person and wanted to improve my English while pursuing a field that truly interests me. This study helps me communicate more effectively and build bridges between different cultures and backgrounds. I find it incredibly rewarding to collaborate with people from diverse cultural perspectives, as it not only broadens my horizons but also teaches me how to approach communication in a global context.

A Heart for Others

July 2025 was the moment I discovered my true calling: supporting people with disabilities. Since then, I have joyfully dedicated my heart, energy, and time to Kazou Jomba and vzw Mozaïek, organizations that provide activities, joy, and independence for people with disabilities. Volunteering is not just something I do in my free time; it has become a part of who I am and the most beautiful thing I can do.

Every smile, every small moment of joy, and every genuine connection fills me with deep satisfaction. It is incredible to see how my efforts can brighten lives and how this work brings me so much happiness and meaning every single day.

Sports

I am very passionate about sports. I enjoy playing tennis, swimming, and running, not so much for competition, but for relaxation, connection, and peace of mind. For me, sports are a moment to unwind, to breathe, and to step away from the busyness of everyday life.
I usually train in the evening, when the day settles and my thoughts are ready to be processed. It helps me clear my mind, release stress, and turn tension into energy. Often, I exercise together with friends, and those moments feel like quality time filled with laughter, motivation, and genuine connection.
